HEAD TO HEAD Q & A - EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

Can I join ACAPTA and get the membership discount for the registration at the same time?
- YES. Just make sure you fill out a membership form, and pay the membership fee ($15 or $5 youth), at the same time as filling out a registration form. Conference registration with members discount is $250.

• What is the deadline for registrations?
To ensure your online or mail registrations for the Conference are received before the commencement of the Conference, we must recieve them by February 27. If you miss this date, you can register in person on the first day of the Conference, Saturday March 1 - just make sure you are at the Nexus Multicultural Arts Centre, corner of North Terrace and Morphett St, Adelaide from 10am - 11am (cash only).

• I'm busy during the time of the Conference with my show, but would still love to come along to some sessions. Do I have to pay for the whole four days?

- NO. You can register for single days in advance or on the day- although some sessions are proving to be very popular so, if your time is limited, we strongly recommend registering in advance.

• Is Head To Head just for working professionals in circus and physical theatre?
NO. The Conference aims to provide a forum for everyone with an interest in circus and physical theatre to give input, learn more and make new connections. Some sessions are tailored toward people working in performance, others will suit emerging artists and there are also sessions for those working in the youth, Indigenous, social and community circus sectors. If you're not sure if a session will suit you, talk to other people you meet on the first day to get a sense of what is happening and which sessions will be the most interesting and useful for you.

• I am a busy professional artist, why go to a talkfest?
Conferences aren't for everyone, we admit that. At ACAPTA we like to think that the Conference is a rare opportunity to make connections that help us learn more about what we do as well as be inspired by our peers, so that when we go back to our main task, making work, we are armed with new information (as well as having made contact with new people we can consult).

We also hope the Conference will lead to some pretty serious discussions that will influence future directions for the sector in areas like government funding, and support from major institutions. We hope that the Conference can help generate a more informed community of practitioners in all areas of circus and physical thetre, working more safely, legally and ethically.

Remember, you can register for a single day or for the entire Conference.
