HEAD 2 HEAD 2008
The Australian Circus and Physical Theatre Conference
1- 4 March 2008, Adelaide, SA
The Australian Circus and Physical Theatre Association (ACAPTA) is proud to present our biennial Conference in Adelaide to coincide with the Festival and Fringe (including the Adelaide International Busking Festival) and immediately following the Australian Performing Arts Market.
In 2008, the Conference will focus on art-form creation, the role of circus and physical theatre in contemporary performance practice. The Conference will provide a focus for artists to discuss and debate their work, surrounded by performances from Australia and around the world.
With representatives from many of Australia’s internationally renowned circus and physical theatre companies sharing their expertise, master-classes from internationally respected practitioners, discussions on international touring with producers and artists, advice for small companies from arts-industry professionals and specific discussions focussing on community, Indigenous and youth circus practice, there will be much to learn and debate about during the four days of the Conference.
